On permanent display at the Visitor Information Centre is a remarkable collection of minerals and gemstones. Collected over many years by local resident and rock hunter extraordinaire, the late Harry Wooldridge, the exhibit contains many fine examples of local gemstones and minerals, as well as samples from much further afield.

Get the most out of your visit to Uralla by calling into the Uralla Visitor Information Centre. Located in the centre of town a short stroll from Thunderbolt’s Statue, the Centre is open almost every day of the year. The friendly staff can provide you with information on local attractions, upcoming events, accommodation and other services. Maps and brochures are available, along with a selection of souvenirs, and gold pans can be hired by those who wish to try their luck at the nearby fossicking reserve.
